Advertising and Direct Marketing
NERS Jurnal Keperawatan (NJK) is committed to maintaining editorial independence, publication integrity, and transparency in all activities related to advertising, sponsorship, and direct marketing. Advertising and promotional activities must not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or the scientific content published by the journal.
Advertising Policy
Any advertising displayed on the journal's website or associated publication platforms must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Advertisements must not be presented in a manner that could mislead readers into believing that they are part of a peer-reviewed article, editorial statement, or official scientific recommendation.
The journal reserves the right to accept, reject, or remove advertisements at its discretion. Advertisements that are misleading, deceptive, unlawful, offensive, or inconsistent with the journal's academic and ethical standards will not be accepted or may be removed.
Acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute endorsement by NERS Jurnal Keperawatan (NJK) of the advertised product, service, organization, or claim.
Editorial Independence
Advertising arrangements, sponsorship agreements, and commercial relationships must not influence the selection of manuscripts, editorial decisions, peer-review processes, or publication outcomes. Editorial decisions must be based solely on scholarly merit, originality, relevance, methodological quality, and compliance with the journal's publication ethics requirements.
Editors and editorial staff must maintain appropriate separation between editorial responsibilities and advertising or commercial activities. Advertisers and sponsors must not be granted access to confidential manuscript information or the ability to influence peer reviewers or editorial decisions.
This principle is consistent with the journal's Journal Management and Publication Ethics and Policies.
Sponsorship and Financial Support
Any financial or in-kind support associated with journal activities, special issues, supplementary publications, or academic events must be disclosed where applicable. Sponsorship must not compromise editorial independence, peer-review integrity, or the journal's academic standards.
Where a financial or commercial relationship may reasonably be perceived as influencing published content, the relevant relationship must be disclosed in accordance with the journal's applicable policies.
Authors, editors, and reviewers must comply with the journal's Conflicts of Interest Policy.
Direct Marketing and Solicitation
Direct marketing conducted by or on behalf of NERS Jurnal Keperawatan (NJK) must be appropriate, transparent, and consistent with the journal's academic mission. Communications inviting manuscript submissions, reviewer participation, editorial collaboration, or other professional engagement must accurately represent the journal, its scope, editorial procedures, and publication requirements.
The journal must not use deceptive promotional practices, misleading claims about indexing or impact, false promises of rapid acceptance, or any communication that misrepresents the peer-review process. The journal will not knowingly engage in spam, coercive solicitation, or other marketing practices that undermine scholarly integrity.
Any direct marketing activity must respect applicable privacy and data-protection requirements. Contact information obtained for editorial or publication purposes must be handled responsibly and must not be used inappropriately for unrelated promotional activities.
Transparency and Complaints
Concerns or complaints regarding advertising, sponsorship, promotional communications, or potential interference with editorial independence may be submitted to the journal's editorial team through its official contact channels.
The journal will assess such concerns fairly and take appropriate action when necessary. Complaints involving editorial misconduct or breaches of publication ethics will be handled in accordance with the journal's applicable policies, including its Complaints and Appeals Policy.
Policy Review
NERS Jurnal Keperawatan (NJK) reserves the right to review and update this policy as necessary to maintain transparency, editorial independence, and compliance with applicable ethical and legal requirements.
This policy should be read together with the journal's Publication Ethics and Policies, Journal Management, and Conflicts of Interest Policy.
